The social networking platform Facebook says it will elaborate on the issue of treatment of satirical content in the soon-to-be-updated Community Standards.
The company's blog post on the issue
states: "We will include information in the community standards that will
explain how we will include satirical material in background reviews and
decisions."
"This change will allow relevant
teams to review satirical material when reviewing hate speech."

Following the issue, the Oversight
Board pointed out that although Facebook is ready for a discount on satirical
content, it is not clear what will meet the definition of satirical content.
In response, Facebook said in an
official blog post that it could clarify its guidelines on satirical content as
well as take further steps by "reviewing the content in the
background".
Under current Facebook rules, the
social network removes "hate speech" in any way, declaring it against
community standards.
